Frankfurt am Main · Germany

Caregiver Frankfurt am Main

Care for an independently living 86-year-old lady, 70 kg, 169 cm, who moves with the help of a walker. She suffers from Parkinson's (stage 4), dementia, incontinence, diabetes (treated with medication), and general frailty. She also has macular degeneration, sees very poorly, and hears very poorly. The lady is Croatian. She can walk short distances on her own, otherwise she uses a walker. She needs assistance on stairs. She needs help getting into bed. Communication is limited, but she can express her needs. She needs help with hygiene, dressing, and toileting. She uses incontinence briefs; incontinence care must be provided. She also wears compression stockings. The job includes supervision, companionship, and household help. Cleaning is provided by a cleaner (once a week), and laundry is handled by the daughter. Groceries are accessible on foot. Night work is required as needed, approximately once per night, mainly for assistance with toileting and incontinence. Lifting is not required. For outdoor mobility, she uses a special Parkinson's walker. This is a moderately demanding caregiving role focused on supervision, assistance with basic activities, incontinence care, and companionship. A caregiver fluent in Croatian is welcome.

Illertissen · Germany

Caregiver Illertissen

Care for an 84-year-old gentleman, 110 kg, 180 cm, who suffers from mild dementia, age-related weakness, and has had a stroke. The gentleman is still quite mobile within his home environment. He is oriented, without aggressive or behavioral issues. He has slight orientation problems, requiring guidance in daily activities. Clear speech and consistent contact and stimulation are necessary. He moves mostly independently, but needs support and supervision when standing, walking, and using a walker. He can lie down, get up, and transfer himself without needing to be lifted. He has a permanent urinary catheter. An outpatient care service visits twice a week for showering. The caregiver monitors fluid intake, regular toilet visits, encourages movement, getting up, and daytime activity, and provides companionship. Reminding him to take medication and accompanying him to doctor's appointments as needed are also important. The gentleman enjoys watching television and playing board games. Night duty is only needed exceptionally, as he usually sleeps through the night. Household management for two people is also part of the job, including cooking, cleaning, laundry, ironing, shopping, and plant care. The family is very supportive and visits regularly. His wife, who does not require care and is undergoing rehabilitation, also lives in the household. A reclining bed, a toilet and shower chair, a bicycle, and a car are available. Free time by arrangement.
