Care for an 84-year-old gentleman, 110 kg, 180 cm, who suffers from mild dementia, age-related weakness, and has had a stroke. Despite this, he is still quite mobile within his home environment. The gentleman is oriented, without aggressive or behavioral issues. He has slight orientation problems, therefore he needs to be guided in daily activities. It is necessary to speak clearly and ensure regular contact and activation. The gentleman moves mostly independently, but requires support and supervision when standing, walking, and using a walker. He independently lies down, gets up, transfers himself, and does not require lifting. He has a permanent urinary catheter. Twice a week, an outpatient care service visits to provide showering. The caregiver oversees fluid intake, regular toilet visits, motivates the senior to move, get up, and be active during the day, and provides companionship. It is also important to remind him about taking medication and, if necessary, accompany him to the doctor. The gentleman enjoys watching television and playing board games. Night duty is required only exceptionally; the gentleman mostly sleeps through the night. Part of the job also includes household management for two people, such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, ironing, shopping, and plant care. The family is very helpful and visits regularly. His wife, who does not require care and is undergoing rehabilitation, also lives in the household. A reclining bed, a toilet and shower chair, a bicycle, and a car are available. Free time by arrangement.
