Nevertheless, the gentleman is still very independent and has not needed nursing care so far. He moves independently without aids and can manage all basic daily activities such as dressing, personal hygiene, eating and toileting without assistance. However, it is important to supervise his regular and timely medication and be available to him when needed. The work of a carer mainly involves supervision, companionship and help with daily living, as well as with managing the household with shopping, meal preparation, cleaning and laundry. Grocery stores are within walking distance. No overnight care or lifting is required.
