She suffers from dementia, has impaired short-term memory, often repeats herself and asks the same questions. She recognises people in her surroundings, is oriented in the home environment, but only in a limited way outside the home. Time orientation is preserved, but she is unable to organise appointments. The lady moves around the house independently without aids, walks alone, outside the house an escort is needed due to dementia. She is not incontinent, she goes to the toilet independently. She eats independently, it is important to supervise her regular intake of food and fluids. Partial help with dressing,hygiene,especially showering and hair washing is needed if she allows it. The caregiver's role also includes household management such as cooking, shopping, cleaning, laundry and small errands, accompanying to the doctor as agreed with the family, supervising the daily routine, companionship and activation. Support with routine activities, walks together, or light care of the garden and patio are important. Medication administration is provided by the outpatient nursing service. There are accessible shops nearby (10 min)and good infrastructure.
