She needs reminding and guidance with hygiene, after toileting, when taking medication and when dressing. Otherwise the lady is largely self-sufficient. A 97-year-old gentleman, 75 kg, 170 cm, suffers from advanced senile weakness, is almost deaf and almost blind, has arthrosis of the knee and moves independently but with very limited mobility. He has a catheter in place and all tasks such as hygiene, toileting, dressing and eating and drinking require partial assistance and supervision. They both need company, conversation and help in their normal daily routine. The caregiver's duties also include household management such as routine housework, cooking, cleaning and laundry. Shopping is accessible on foot in about 15 minutes (Rewe). Night work is occasionally needed for the elderly,as he is sometimes restless at night.There is a walker, wheelchair and grab bars in the bathroom.
