The lady is mentally well, communicates without problems, but physically she is completely immobile, unable to move or hold objects on her own, she is fully dependent on help. She moves around with the help of a wheelchair, with all transfers being carried out with the help of an electric hoist. The physical demand is not high, as it is mainly a matter of correct technique, for which the Caregiver is trained. The lady is completely dependent on assistance with all tasks: personal hygiene, dressing, eating and toileting. She has a urinary catheter in place, stooling is done in diapers or is dealt with using an enema (done by the nursing service). Hygiene is mostly done at bedside, showering once a week with the help of a hoist or toilet seat. Meals are fully assisted, she needs to be fed. The caregiver's job also includes housekeeping such as cooking, shopping (shops are accessible on foot), cleaning and laundry care. The lady spends most of her time in bed, so positioning, supervision and companionship are important. Night care is minimal, about once a night she needs to be positioned. This is more physically and organisationally demanding care.
