The gentleman is mostly orientated , but has phases where he reverts to the past or appears confused. He has recently lost his wife, which is an important factor in terms of psychological support and the need for companionship. He moves around the home with the help of a walker, outside the home he uses a wheelchair. Walking is very slow and he spends most of the day in a chair. She manages getting up with support, lifting is not necessary. He needs supervision and partial help with daily activities and dressing, mainly guidance with eating (food needs to be cut up), help with hygiene, especially with showering. She can manage the toilet independently. The work includes household management such as cooking, shopping, cleaning and laundry care, while the family (daughter living in the same house) can help with the shopping as agreed. The gentleman has regular physiotherapy sessions (2 times a week). A very important part of care is companionship, communication and activation such as wheelchair walks, spending time together and general psychological support after the loss of his wife. No night care or lifting is not necessary, the gentleman usually sleeps through the night or goes to the toilet on his own.
