He gets around with a walker, sometimes without it, but is partially disoriented and needs supervision during the day. Help is also needed with hygiene (washing is done in the room), dressing and toileting, and guidance and supervision is needed for eating. An 86-year-old lady, 65 kg, 62 cm, has dementia and is severely debilitated after suffering from urosepsis. She is recumbent and needs to be gradually mobilised, while being able to move partially in bed. She is incontinent and uses nappies which need to be changed several times a day. She requires full assistance with all activities, hygiene, dressing, eating and toileting, with washing taking place in bed. The caregiver's job also includes complete housekeeping such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping, general supervision, companionship and organisation of the day. Night work is necessary, with the master only exceptionally according to the situation, with the mistress regularly about twice a night (checking and changing incontinence devices). Lifting is minimal for the gentleman (light help is sufficient), moderate help is needed for the lady, and the lady is able to cooperate partially. This is more demanding care, mainly due to the lady lying down, incontinence and night work.
