She suffers from dementia\/Alzheimer's and urinary incontinence. She shows no tendency to leave or aggressive behaviour. Needs assistance getting out of bed or out of a chair. Partial assistance is needed with dressing, hygiene and toilet use, and he tries to cooperate. Meals are taken independently, but regularity of meals and adequate drinking should be supervised. During toileting, the lady needs to be guided, accompanied, assisted with dressing and hygiene, and incontinence aids changed. For personal hygiene, assistance is needed with daily grooming, showering, washing hair and getting in and out of the bath or shower. It is important to ensure supervision of the use of medications that are prepared. Care also includes managing a two-person household such as cooking, cleaning, laundry and routine household chores, as well as running errands. There is also a son living in the home who is busy with work, looks after his own affairs independently and supports the Caregiver particularly in organising the lady's leisure time. An important part of the care is maintaining a daily routine, companionship and communication. The day follows a roughly steady routine - getting up and hygiene around 6:00-6:45 in the morning, followed by breakfast, morning rest, lunch around 12:00-12:30, afternoon rest, coffee around 15:30 and preparation for sleep in the evening around 19:00-20:00, dinner is not usually served.
