She suffers from heart failure, general old age weakness, reduced kidney function and liver problems. She is often tired quickly, has very poor fitness and uses oxygen therapy as needed, with both mobile and stationary equipment available. Occasionally she has leg swelling which needs to be unloaded and gently massaged... She does not have dementia,her hearing is good with a hearing aid, her vision is severely impaired due to macular degeneration, and she uses a magnifying glass to read. The lady can stand on her own, she needs an escort when walking up stairs. She manages meals and toileting independently, but needs partial assistance with dressing and personal hygiene, especially with showering, washing her hair and getting in and out of the shower. The presence of a caregiver and a sense of security are important. Regular meals and sufficient fluid intake should be supervised. The care includes supervising the use of medication prepared by the daughter, accompanying her to the doctor's office with the agreement of the family, assisting with daily activities and maintaining a daily routine. The job also includes housekeeping, i.e. preparing meals, cleaning, laundry and shopping; shops are accessible on foot. An important part of this is companionship, communication and leisure activities such as walks, board games or cooking or baking together.The lady attends the day centre 1 time a week. Her daughter visits regularly and is present in person approximately every four weeks.
