After a stroke he has slight word finding problems, but mentally he is fine .He also has an artificial hip joint and occasionally has panic attacks. He moves around the home with the help of a walker and needs to be accompanied when walking. He needs partial assistance with dressing and personal hygiene, especially when showering. The 86-year-old lady, 49 kg, 169 cm, suffers from cardiac insufficiency and takes blood thinners (Marcumar). She recently suffered a fall in which she broke her elbow and has a haematoma on her hip joint. As a result of her injury, she needs assistance mainly with personal hygiene and some activities of daily living. She moves independently, currently with the help of one crutch. She needs partial assistance with dressing and hygiene, but can manage eating and toileting independently. The caregiver's work includes household management such as cooking, cleaning, laundry care and routine household chores. Groceries can be provided by the son or can be ordered as needed. The couple like to receive visitors, so it is important to maintain a pleasant home environment. No night care or lifting is required.
