She has an increased risk of falls, is partially mobile with assistance and uses a walker, and a wheelchair(risk of falls) Getting up, sitting, standing and walking are all done with support, and the lady is able to co-operate. Hearing is significantly impaired, speech is preserved, and the lady is oriented in time, space and to persons. She is incontinent of urine, uses incontinence aids that need to be changed. She wears compression stockings, which are put on and taken off by the outpatient nursing service(morning,evening) The caregiver provides assistance with personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, reminds her to take her medication, supervises sufficient fluid intake and assists with transfers. The lady enjoys walking and watching television. The caregiver's duties also include housekeeping, including cooking, laundry and routine cleaning. There is a reclining bed, walker, wheelchair, toilet and shower chair. Night care is only needed occasionally. Family (daughter) is available as needed.
