Caring for a 72 year old lady, 68 kg, after a brain tumour surgery.The lady is paralysed on the right side after a stroke, limited motor skills, at home and outdoors she moves in a wheelchair, she needs to be moved several times a day with light help, there is a risk of falling. She is depressed (takes medication), incontinent of urine, wears diapers. She does not have dementia,occasionally refuses help.She requires partial help with eating (sometimes need to be fed), full help with dressing and undressing (husband picks out clothes), also full help with toileting and physical hygiene. Adherence to daily schedule, supervision of medication, regular appointments with speech therapist, companionship, wheelchair walks, outings (even with overnight stays), TV, games, conversations, grilling on the patio. Accompaniment to the doctors is taken over by the husband. At night, assistance to the toilet is needed 1 time. At home, her husband lives with her, who is independent in caring for himself and takes care of the dog regularly, he can be helped with garden work In the household, meal preparation, shopping cleaning, laundry, winter service are needed for both of them. An outpatient care service comes to the home daily to wash and dress the lady in the morning.The laundress comes once a week. Regular visits from son and daughter. There is a dog in the home.
The caregiver has her own bathroom.
