Caring for an 89 year old lady, 70 kg, 160 cm, living independently, who suffers from dementia and Parkinson’s disease. The lady moves around the home with the help of a walker, but often forgets about it and instead holds on to furniture, which increases the risk of falling. She is not aggressive in nature, but is restless at times. The lady speaks Russian. She needs partial help with dressing, personal hygiene and toileting. Assistance with bathing is needed once a week. The lady refuses to wear incontinence devices, goes to the toilet independently, but occasionally there may be a leakage. It is important to keep an eye on her safety, reassure her in case of restlessness and provide support in daily life. The job includes household management such as cooking, shopping, cleaning and looking after the laundry. The bus for shopping leaves approximately 5 minutes from the home, the family can help with shopping if needed. Night care is not needed, although the lady has recently got used to waking up around 4:00 am, but she usually goes back to sleep and the caregiver does not have to get up. Lifting is not necessary.
