Caring for an elderly married couple in a shared household. A 95-year-old gentleman, 65 kg, 170 cm, suffers from dementia, Parkinson’s, incontinence and general weakness. He is friendly, quiet and spends most of the day sitting in front of the television. He moves with uncertainty, so supervision and accompaniment when walking is necessary due to the risk of falling. He needs partial assistance with hygiene, dressing and toileting, including incontinence care (both urine and stool). Eats independently, despite shaking hands. In contrast, an 88-year-old lady, 60 kg, 165 cm, is physically and mentally quite independent, without the need for assistance with basic tasks. She mainly needs support in the home. She takes care of order, cleanliness and a neat appearance, which is important to respect when managing the household. The job mainly involves caring for the master, managing the household (cooking for both, cleaning, laundry), shopping (about 500 m from the house) and generally ensuring the running of the household. Lifting is only minimal, the gentleman can cooperate, it is a light assistance (e.g. a handshake). Accommodation for the caregiver is on the second floor of the house, where there are also two rooms rented for two lawyers, they are only used for sleeping. The bathroom on this floor is cleaned by an external service, the Caregiver does not clean it. Night care is not needed.
