Caring for a 79-year-old gentleman, 75 kg, 170 cm with old age weakness.The gentleman moves independently, has dementia, is incontinent Communication is maintained, but the gentleman is rather silent and has a problem with finding words. He is able to go to the toilet independently, wears incontinence aids. He needs guidance and help especially with personal hygiene and dressing. He does not accept food with restrictions, does not take medication. Requires supervision and support in daily life, does not like to be alone. He likes to go for short walks, sometimes on his own. The care includes companionship, communication, walks and general management of the daily routine. The gentleman attends a day care centre 2-3 times a week. The job also includes household management such as cooking, meal preparation, cleaning, laundry and shopping, these activities are done in agreement with the wife. Shops are accessible on foot. There is also a wife who lives in the household who looks after the gentleman, the Caregiver is there to support her so that she can leave the home without worrying and also to take the pressure off her as she no longer drives. Night work is not regular, only when needed. Lifting is not necessary. There is a car.
