Care for an elderly married couple living in a shared household. 84-year-old lady, 45 kg, 163 cm, has slight mobility limitations, moves independently but slowly. She has dementia/Alzheimer’s, takes heart medication and has open wounds on her legs which are cared for by the health service. As a result of dementia, she often forgets, repeatedly asks questions, confuses people, short-term memory is impaired, and sometimes appears suspicious, but aggressive behaviour is not present. In the home environment she is still relatively oriented, outside it orientation is impaired. She sleeps a lot. An 88-year-old gentleman, 60 kg, 168 cm, is fully mobile and relatively independent, even still driving. He suffers from urinary incontinence (he uses pads) and incipient dementia, manifested mainly by forgetfulness and occasional confusion. He is otherwise independent and needs only minor support. The lady needs partial assistance with dressing and personal hygiene, and goes to the toilet independently. The gentleman only needs guidance or minor help with dressing. Meals are partly provided by lunch delivery, breakfast and dinner have to be prepared. The job involves managing the whole household such as cooking, cleaning, laundry and shopping, possibly also joint shopping with the seniors. An important part of care is supervising the lady, helping with basic tasks, providing guidance in daily living and ensuring a daily routine. The health service provides wound care and administration of medication. Night work is not necessary, both are independent at night. Lifting is not necessary.
