Caring for an 86-year-old lady, 70 kg, 170 cm, who is wheelchair-bound. She suffers from polyneuropathy, due to which she cannot stand or walk. She has undergone treatment for breast cancer (no active treatment anymore). She is physically debilitated. There are stairs in her apartment, so she cannot get out. During the day she also sits in a chair with a stand up function where she rests and sleeps. The lady is completely dependent on help with hygiene, dressing and toileting. She needs complete basic care. A transfer is required whereby the lady is co-operative and can stand for short periods and a lifting aid is available. At night, 1x assistance is needed with toileting. There is a hoist, bedside transfer device and bath hoist for showering. Part of the caregiver’s job is to manage a two-person household such as cooking, cleaning, laundry and shopping. Shopping can be done by the husband or together with the Caregiver. The husband, who is still independent, also lives in the household. A caregiver from Poland is welcome.
