Caring for an 87-year-old elderly gentleman, 79 kg, 177 cm, who is wheelchair-bound and suffers from dementia. It manifests itself mainly by repetition of sentences and impaired short-term memory, without aggressive manifestations. After a fall, he has severely restricted movement of his lower limbs and is unable to move them independently. He is able to stand up briefly but is unsteady and has to hold on when getting up. Assistance is needed with personal hygiene, toileting and dressing and undressing. He uses incontinence aids. Moderate physical support is required for transfers, but he is partially able to cooperate. There is a wheelchair and a toilet chair. He eats independently. The job also includes household management such as shopping (shops are accessible on foot), cooking, cleaning and laundry. Companionship and activity is also important; the gentleman enjoys playing the board game Kniffel and watching television. Night care is not needed. There is also a wife (op. level 2) living in the household who does not require personal care, but it is necessary to run the household for her as well.
