| Care for an independent living 91-year-old gentleman, 75 kg, 165 cm, who is physically reasonably strong for his age but has advanced dementia/Alzheimer’s and poor hearing. He can still walk, but only a short distance, about 200 metres. He has intermittent headaches and back pain and takes medication for these. He needs help with dressing, hygiene, going to the toilet and showering (twice a week). Morning toileting and changing require supervision. Needs to be accompanied on walks, needs to be supervised. It is important that he is supervised at all times. He uses dentures which need to be cleaned. Needs to prepare meals, do laundry, clean and look after the home. Shopping can be arranged by family who live 35 km away. A bus is available if needed (to Bad Honnef every 30 min). A nursing service also goes to the home to administer medication. Night work is not necessary. Lifting is not necessary. Aids are not needed. |
