Caring for an 86-year-old lady, 70 kg, 158 cm, who is slightly limited in movement, walks independently but more slowly. She suffers from breast cancer and incipient dementia, manifested mainly by impaired short-term memory. Orientation is still intact, but she needs supervision and a sense of security. Her care consists mainly of running the household, meal preparation, shopping, cleaning and laundry. It also includes accompanying them to appointments, organising routine affairs, conversations, companionship and social and emotional support. Supervision of the lady’s safety is important. Light help with basic hygiene may also be needed later if necessary, but this is not necessary at the moment. Night work or lifting is not necessary. The caregiver has her own bathroom.
