Caring for an 86-year-old independent living lady, 70 kg, 169 cm, who moves with the help of a walker. She suffers from Parkinson’s (stage 4), dementia, incontinence, diabetes (treated with medication) and general old age weakness. She also has macular degeneration, very poor vision and very poor hearing. The lady is sickly,can walk short distances on her own, otherwise she uses a walker. She needs an escort when climbing stairs. She needs help getting into bed. Communication is limited, but she can express her needs. Needs help with hygiene, dressing and toileting. Uses incontinence briefs, needs to be provided with incontinence care. Also wears compression stockings. The job involves supervision, companionship and help around the home. Housekeeping is provided by the housekeeper (once a week), laundry is provided by the daughter. Shopping is accessible on foot. Night work is required as required by condition, approximately 1x per night, mainly to assist with toileting and incontinence. Lifting is not necessary. He has a special Parkinson’s walker to get around outdoors. This is a moderate level of care focusing on supervision, assistance with basic tasks, incontinence care and companionship. A Croatian speaking caregiver is welcome .
