| Care for an independent living 92-year-old elderly gentleman, 63 kg, 175 cm, who is mentally fully oriented in time, space and towards persons. He suffers from impaired hearing and vision and occasional back pain. In the home he moves independently without restrictions, for longer distances outside he uses a walker. The gentleman is independent in most activities, he can manage dressing, eating and toileting without help. Partial assistance may be required for personal hygiene. Part of the caregiver’s job is managing the household, such as cooking, cleaning, laundry and shopping. Shops and a doctor are available approximately 200 metres from the house. The carer also accompanies the gentleman to medical appointments and for walks. Companionship and support in daily life, especially in simple conversations and shared activities, is also an important part of care. The gentleman does not need difficult conversation or special exercises, it is more about calm coexistence, supervision and help in the home. No lifting or night care is necessary. |
