Caring for an elderly married couple in a shared household – an 85 year old gentleman, 60 kg, 170 cm and an 82 year old lady, 80 kg, 165 cm. The gentleman is bedridden, following recent spleen surgery, with a previous stroke. He has been in a wheelchair for 20 years. He stands briefly with assistance and can engage while transferring to a wheelchair. He suffers from incontinence, has a potty by his bed and wears nappies for reassurance. He also has diabetes, he measures his own sugar, the caregiver holds a skin lash for insulin application. The lady gets around with a walker, she is almost blind. She is oriented in the house, but needs help in toileting and hygiene. She has occasional stress diarrhea and wears diapers for reassurance. The caregiver’s tasks include helping with hygiene, dressing, toileting, shopping, cooking, cleaning and laundry. Shopping is not accessible on foot, a car is required. Mr. Transfer requires experience, lifting equipment can be provided.Every Friday, a domestic helper comes to the home from 10:00-12:00 p.m. Time off in the afternoon can be taken. Night work is not required. There is a car with automatic transmission.
