| Caring for a 49-year-old gentleman, 50 kg, 172 cm, who is mostly recumbent, suffers from multiple sclerosis and incontinence. Mobility is severely limited, he spends most of his time in bed, in the mornings he is transferred to a wheelchair, where he lasts a maximum of about 30 minutes. The transfer is only minimally assisted, according to the current state of health. He is completely dependent on assistance for dressing, hygiene and toilet use. He suffers from urinary incontinence, uses a urinary condom, stool may be incontinent, uses nappies. Eats independently, follows a special raw-vegan diet, needs to ensure regularity of meals and sufficient fluid intake. Full assistance is needed for toileting including incontinence care, raised toilet seat is available, toileting is done mainly in the morning. For personal hygiene, complete assistance is needed on a daily basis, with showering and shaving provided by the wife. Care also includes supervising the use of medications that are prepared, assistance with activities of daily living, companionship, communication and maintaining a daily routine. Housekeeping includes meal preparation, cleaning, laundry and shopping, and these activities are carried out in cooperation and agreement with the wife. The wife is responsible for the running of the household. A gown must be worn in the presence of the master during care.
