Care for an independent living 74-year-old elderly gentleman, 80 kg, 190 cm, who suffers from dementia, Parkinson’s, incontinence and general old age weakness. The gentleman is wheelchair bound, he is able to co-operate with transfers and transfers are assisted, he is not completely passive. He has impaired vision and hearing (wears glasses). The gentleman requires assistance with basic hygiene, dressing and toileting, including incontinence care (he uses a urine bottle). He can manage oral hygiene independently. Meals are taken with assistance, regularity of eating and drinking needs to be ensured. The job description of the caregiver also includes complete housekeeping such as cooking, cleaning, laundry and shopping (about 10 minutes walk). Companionship, communication and active time, including walking (with a wheelchair) are also important. A wheelchair, walker, reclining bed and toilet chair are available. Night care is not needed, the gentleman sleeps all night. Knowledge of Russian or Ukrainian language is required.
