| Caring for an 84-year-old lady, 150 cm and 45 kg, with Parkinson’s disease and mobility limitations. Mentally she is well, has occasional depression. The lady has been an amputee of her left leg for years, uses a wheelchair and is at risk of falling. She is incontinent of urine, has poor hearing. She needs help to transfer from the wheelchair, she can partially cooperate by standing on the other leg, (walker available, nursing bed).The outpatient service treats the wound and prepares medication.
The caregiver performs hygiene, changes incontinence material, dressing, makes sure that the lady receives sufficient fluid intake, prepares medication, takes care of laundry.The lady likes to engage in small activities in the home, walks in the wheelchair, play cards. Night work is not required ( occasionally once a fortnight).The husband lives in the household,who does not require care,cooking and housework is also to be done by him.The Caregiver has her own room with TV and private bathroom.Shops are remote,accessible by car. |
