Caring for an 88-year-old elderly gentleman, 60 kg, 176 cm. The gentleman is mobile with a walker, moves independently and gets out of bed and out of a chair without assistance. He suffers from urinary incontinence (he uses pads) and severe hip arthrosis. She has no other diseases. He is fully oriented in time, space and towards persons, without dementia. He needs partial help with hygiene and dressing, especially with showering and changing clothes. He goes to the toilet independently. He eats by himself, needs to be supervised for drinking and regular meals. His care includes cooking, shopping, cleaning, laundry, running errands, taking care of the house and helping with daily activities. Companionship, conversation, maintaining a daily routine and walking are also needed. Medications are prepared, need to be supervised for use. There is help in the home once a week. Night work is not needed. The household is shared by the gentleman’s wife who is independent but needs respite care and housekeeping. There is a car available,a private bathroom for the caregiver.
