Bergisch Gladbach · Germany

Caregiver Bergisch Gladbach

Care for an elderly couple in a shared household. The 91-year-old lady, 68 kg, 165 cm, has mild dementia, is slightly mobility-impaired, and is at risk of falling. She needs partial assistance with dressing, personal hygiene, showering, and toileting. The caregiver administers her medication and helps with removing compression stockings. Companionship, conversation, and general daytime assistance are also important. The 90-year-old gentleman, 85 kg, 179 cm, has had a stroke that did not significantly affect his motor skills or speech. He is currently still in the hospital. He has spinal problems and moves around the house with a walker. Before the stroke, he took care of his wife, so the caregiver should relieve him of this duty. The caregiver is also responsible for household management, cooking, cleaning, and laundry. The family handles shopping. No lifting is required for either spouse. Only the lady requires nighttime assistance, approximately once per night to accompany her to the toilet. She has fallen in the past, so it is necessary to accompany her due to the risk of falling. The gentleman does not require nighttime assistance. There is a stairlift in the house. A separate bathroom is available for the caregiver. Free time by arrangement.
