Care for an elderly married couple in their shared home. The 90-year-old lady, weighing 45 kg and standing 150 cm tall, has dementia, senile weakness, and macular degeneration. She is almost blind. She has problems with time orientation and requires active engagement and guidance. She is mobile, uses a walker, or occasionally a wheelchair. She is at risk of falling. She needs assistance with walking on stairs, bathing, dressing, and personal and intimate hygiene. Her medication needs to be reminded, and fluid intake monitored. The 82-year-old gentleman, weighing 73 kg and standing 170 cm tall, has senile weakness, diabetes, kidney failure, heart failure, and skin cancer on his nose. He is mentally sound. He is mobile and walks independently, but is at risk of falling. He needs assistance with showering. He is partially incontinent, especially at night. His eyesight, hearing, and speech are impaired. He needs help with personal and intimate hygiene, dressing, and medication reminders. Lifting or night shifts are not required. The carer is also responsible for cooking, shopping, laundry, ironing, and general household chores. A cleaning lady assists in the household 2-4 times a week. The family visits approximately every 2-3 weeks. Free time by arrangement.
