Care for a 63-year-old elderly gentleman living alone, 74 kg, 182 cm, suffering from leukemia and depression. Due to his illness, his fine motor skills are significantly limited, and he experiences numbness in his hands and feet. He does not have dementia. He moves independently with the aid of a walker; when using stairs, he requires assistance for safety reasons. He gets up from chairs and beds without help. He occasionally experiences urinary incontinence and uses incontinence pads. He is prone to constipation, with home nursing services ensuring bowel movements once a week. A commode chair is available in the household. The gentleman requires partial assistance with dressing, personal hygiene, and using the toilet. During hygiene, help is needed with showering, washing hair, back, and shaving. The bathroom is barrier-free. When using the toilet, he needs help with hygiene and changing incontinence products. He eats independently, but it is necessary to ensure adequate fluid intake and cut his meat into smaller pieces. Medications are prepared in advance; the carer oversees their regular intake. Job duties also include meal preparation, shopping, cleaning, laundry, dog care, accompanying him to medical appointments by arrangement, running small errands, assistance with daily activities, maintaining a daily routine, and providing companionship. Shops are within walking distance. Night work and lifting are not required. The household includes a small, friendly dog, a crossbreed, approximately knee-high. Free time as per agreement.
