Caregiver Needed

Care for a 71-year-old gentleman, 110 kg, 176 cm, who suffered a stroke in May and had a heart attack in the past. He suffers from early-stage dementia, is significantly disoriented in time, exhibits confused speech, and often believes he needs to go to work or that his belongings are lost. He has high blood pressure and a pacemaker. He moves only with the assistance of a walker; his physical condition is significantly weakened, and he is at high risk of falls. He spends a lot of time in an armchair and needs motivation to move. He requires assistance with transfers, such as sitting up, standing, moving to bed, or moving to an armchair. He often slides down while sitting or lying and needs to be repositioned correctly. He requires escort and assistance with sitting and standing when using the toilet. He uses incontinence pads. Personal hygiene is managed by a home care service that visits 2-3 times daily to administer medication, help put on compression stockings, and assist with hygiene and showering. The caregiver's duties include household management, shopping, laundry, cleaning, meal preparation as agreed with the wife, accompanying him to appointments, and providing companionship. Shared walks, games, conversations, and activities promoting orientation and mobility are important. Shops are within walking distance. Night work is not typically required, only in exceptional situations, such as a fall. An emergency button is available. The gentleman falls approximately every two days, so increased supervision and assistance with safe movement are necessary. His wife also assists with lifting after a fall or during more demanding transfers. Free time as agreed. A car is available.
