Caregiver Schwäbisch Gmünd

Care for a 72-year-old lady, 68 kg, after a brain tumor operation. The lady is paralyzed on the right side after a stroke, has limited mobility, and uses a wheelchair both indoors and outdoors. Transfers are needed several times a day with light assistance; there is a risk of falling. She suffers from depression (takes medication), is incontinent (wears diapers). She does not have dementia, but sometimes refuses help. She requires partial assistance with eating (sometimes needs to be fed), full assistance with dressing and undressing (husband chooses clothes), and full assistance with toileting and personal hygiene. Adherence to the daily schedule, supervision of medication intake, regular appointments with a speech therapist, companionship, wheelchair walks, excursions (including overnight stays), TV, games, conversations, barbecues on the terrace. The husband accompanies her to doctor's appointments. Assistance to the toilet is needed once per night. Her husband lives with her, is independent in his own care, and regularly takes care of the dog. He can be assisted with gardening. Meal preparation, shopping, cleaning, laundry, and winter services are needed for both. An outpatient care service visits daily (to wash and dress the lady in the morning). A cleaner comes once a week. The son and daughter visit regularly. There is a dog in the household. The caregiver has a private bathroom.
