Caregiver Brühl

Care for an independently living 85-year-old lady, 50 kg, 158 cm, who suffers from dementia and general old-age frailty. She is currently hospitalized and will subsequently be placed in short-term care. Dementia is progressing, her short-term memory is significantly impaired, and she frequently repeats the same questions or information. She tolerates changes poorly, so a regular daily routine is very important for her. She has an artificial hip. She moves around the house with a walker. She requires supervision and accompaniment while walking, mainly due to the risk of falls. She needs help with dressing, personal hygiene, and showering. Assistance with eating and using the toilet is sufficient. It is necessary to supervise the regular intake of medication, which she takes even after stent placement. The caregiver's duties also include meal preparation, shopping, laundry, cleaning, accompanying her on walks, assisting with doctor's visits, and general daily activities. The bathroom has a low-entry shower and a shower chair; a toilet chair will be provided. Her son visits approximately once a week, usually on Wednesdays. The lady enjoys peace and quiet and needs time for herself. Night work and lifting are not required. Free time by agreement. A car and a separate bathroom for the caregiver are available.
