Caregiver Geilenkirchen

Care for an 89-year-old lady, 52 kg, 155 cm, with advanced dementia. In the past, she suffered a hip fracture and had hip surgery. She moves around the house with a walker, sometimes without it. A stair lift is available. She needs partial assistance with dressing and undressing, personal hygiene, showering, and using the toilet. She wears diapers at night and sometimes removes them. She eats independently, but the food needs to be prepared and cut. Showering twice a week. In the morning, she needs help getting out of bed, and in the evening, help getting into bed. Lifting is not required. The caregiver ensures the normal running of the household, including cooking, cleaning, laundry, changing bed linen, dusting, and shopping. The daughter arranges doctor's visits and accompanies the caregiver on larger shopping trips. The supermarket is about 2 km away; a bicycle or bus service is available. The senior lady visits a day care center every Wednesday, and a physiotherapist visits her at home. No night waking is required; the senior lady sleeps for approximately 12 hours without interruption. The senior lady lives alone in an older country house with a yard and unused farm buildings. The house is located in a rural area without shops in the immediate vicinity. The house does not have central heating; heating is provided by oil stoves with electric backup, which the caregiver does not need to manage. The caregiver has a private guest room with Wi-Fi, TV, and heating, as well as a new shower. Free time is by arrangement.
