Caregiver Ichenhausen

Care for an independently living 87-year-old lady, 49 kg, 150 cm, who suffers from dementia and general frailty. She has significantly impaired short-term memory, is disoriented in time, but navigates well within her home environment. She is calm, shows no aggression or tendency to wander. She enjoys watching television. She moves with the help of a walker (a wheelchair is ordered); she requires escort and supervision while walking and is not incontinent. She needs assistance with getting up from bed, sitting down, walking, and transfers, but she can cooperate independently. She requires help with personal hygiene, including intimate hygiene, and with dressing. She eats independently. It is necessary to guide her towards a regular daily routine, provide her with companionship, supervision, and appropriate activation. The caregiver also ensures cooking, household cleaning, laundry, ironing, and shopping. Larger shopping trips are done together with the family. The lady's family visits daily. Shops are accessible by public transport or bicycle. Night duty is generally not required; the caregiver is called upon only exceptionally at night via a baby monitor. Free time by agreement. For the caregiver, there is private accommodation on a separate floor of the house, a private bathroom, and a bicycle is available.
