Caregiver Neu-Ulm

Care for an 86-year-old lady, 63 kg, 164 cm, who has dementia and short-term memory problems. She is occasionally incontinent at night but can change her incontinence aids herself. She moves independently with a walker or cane. She needs assistance with showering; her family is available if help with bathing is needed. She does not require help with everyday dressing, movement, or eating. A care service visits every morning for approximately 5 minutes. They prepare medications and put in her hearing aid. The caregiver does not administer medication, only supervises fluid intake. The caregiver's tasks include light household help and possibly cooking. They prepare warm meals together. The lady prepares her own cold dinner or fruit. An external cleaner comes for tidying up. The lady enjoys going for walks, watching television, and gardening. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, she attends a day program for seniors. She likes to talk about family, the weather, and gardening. Shops are located 500 meters to 1 kilometer away. Her family lives nearby and visits her regularly. No night waking is required. A private bathroom is available for the caregiver. Free time is by arrangement.
