Caregiver Rimpar

Care for an 82-year-old senior, 160 cm tall, 52 kg, who lives with her husband in a family house. The husband is completely independent and does not require care assistance, but it is necessary to ensure the household runs smoothly for him as well. The senior suffers from advanced dementia/Alzheimer's disease and incontinence. She is significantly forgetful and requires support and supervision throughout the day. Although she herself shows little interest in communication and activities, the caregiver is expected to actively engage with her, be present, and provide her with necessary reassurance and care. The senior is dependent on a wheelchair and cannot fully stand on her feet. She requires assistance with transfers, e.g., from bed to wheelchair, from wheelchair to sofa, chair, or toilet. A transfer lift, an adjustable-height profiling bed, a bed pole, a bath lift, and a stairlift are available. Her son can assist with bathing if needed. The caregiver is responsible for complete assistance with personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, using the toilet, and changing incontinence products. The senior also needs help with eating – sometimes she needs to be fed, and the caregiver should always be present during meals. Walks with the senior in her wheelchair are also part of the duties. Common responsibilities include cooking, shopping, cleaning, and laundry. Shopping facilities are within walking distance. Night work is not required. The caregiver has a separate living area available with a private bathroom and internet access. Free time is arranged by agreement, and according to the family, there are no issues with its utilization.
