Caregiver Sinzig

Care for a 90-year-old lady (145 cm, 45 kg) who uses a wheelchair. She suffered a stroke in 2023 and is paralyzed on the left side. A physiotherapist and occupational therapist visit the home. She is partially incontinent and wears diapers at night. She suffers from high blood pressure. She requires partial assistance with dressing and undressing, and with personal hygiene (she can wash her face herself). She needs full assistance with toileting, transfers to and from the wheelchair and stairlift, as well as to and from her armchair. She can stand on her own for a short time. A nursing service also visits the home 5 times a week to put on her compression stockings; the caregiver then removes them. The caregiver ensures wheelchair walks and supervises medication intake. Adherence to the daily schedule: 6:30-6:45: waking up, changing diapers, intimate hygiene in bed 6:45-7:00: nursing service 7:00-7:30: washing in the bathroom and dressing 7:30-8:30: breakfast 9:00-9:30: gymnastics 9:30-11:30: sleep 12:30-13:30: lunch 13:30-16:00: rest, entertainment 18:30-19:00: dinner 19:00-21:30: TV, entertainment Lifting with grab assistance is required. The client is cooperative and can take a few steps. Night work is not required. In the household, meal preparation, cooking healthy meals, cleaning, laundry, and shopping (10 min walk; alternatively, family can do the shopping) are required for both. Assistance comes to the household once a week.
