Caregiver Weißenhorn

She needs assistance with getting up, walking, transferring, and repositioning. She uses a walker and a wheelchair. A profiling bed, a hoist, a toilet/shower chair, and a stairlift are available. She can cooperate with lifting. She needs help with personal hygiene, dressing, and toileting. A nursing service visits several times a week to manage her medications. The wife enjoys walks and watching television. The husband is 84 years old, weighs 78 kg, and is 176 cm tall. He has early-stage dementia, mainly manifesting as forgetfulness and impaired short-term memory. He is not aggressive and exhibits no other problematic behaviors. His vision and hearing are impaired, but his speech is unaffected. He has no physical limitations and can get up, stand, and walk independently without aids. He is self-sufficient in personal care. He needs reminders to take his medication and supervision to ensure adequate fluid intake. He enjoys walks and cycling. The caregiver is responsible for cooking, shopping, laundry, ironing, and general household management. Companionship and walks are important. The family visits only occasionally. During the caregiver's time off, their son takes over the care. Regular night duty is not required. Assistance for the wife at night may only be needed exceptionally in an emergency. The husband does not require night assistance. A private bathroom is available for the caregiver. Free time is by arrangement.
