Care for an elderly married couple – a 76-year-old lady, 80 kg, 175 cm, and a 76-year-old gentleman, 70 kg, 175 cm, living together. The gentleman is mobile at home with a walker, suffers from depression, and has hemiparesis after a stroke. He is independent with dressing, eating, and using the toilet; he needs assistance with hygiene (especially showering). It is advisable to motivate him for activities, such as walks. The lady is currently in the hospital and then in rehabilitation. She has poor short-term memory and her kidneys are failing. She is currently bedridden, wears incontinence products, and hygiene care is provided on the bed. With support, she can sit on the edge of the bed. Her condition after returning from rehabilitation is not yet known. The caregiver's tasks include household chores – cooking, cleaning, laundry, and shopping (shops are within walking distance). Night work is not usual, only if needed for changing incontinence products. A nursing bed, a toilet chair, a shower chair, a bath lift, and a stairlift are available. The caregiver has their own bathroom.
