Care for a 91-year-old lady living independently (150 cm, 40 kg). The lady has had a stroke, her short-term memory is weakening, she has hearing loss (wears a hearing aid) and very poor vision (visual acuity of 15% – macular degeneration). She moves independently, but at home and outdoors, attention must be paid to obstacles in her path (due to poor vision). She is not incontinent. She reluctantly accepts help and wants to maintain her independence. She manages personal hygiene and toileting independently; when showering/bathing, it is necessary to be nearby in case of need. Regular changing of clothes, regular shared meals, supervision of adequate fluid intake and medication use, joint walks, visits, and conversations are required. Furthermore, accompanying her to doctors and scheduled appointments (hairdresser, physiotherapist, occupational therapist once a week). Daily schedule, light gardening, she enjoys spending time in the garden. Family and her granddaughter with a dog visit her. Lifting and night work are not required. The caregiver has her own apartment upstairs.
