Caregiver Eltmann

Care for an independently living 78-year-old gentleman, 110 kg, 180 cm, who has early-stage dementia, decubitus ulcers, a kidney fistula, and fecal incontinence, uses diapers. The nursing service takes care of the decubitus ulcers and kidney fistula. Orientation in time is partially limited; orientation in space and towards persons is preserved. The gentleman is completely bedridden and requires complete assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, eating, and toileting. Full lifting using a hoist (which is available) is necessary for transfers to a wheelchair. The gentleman can cooperate as much as possible. Nighttime assistance is not required. The caregiver provides complete personal care, meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry. Groceries are managed by the daughter; the caregiver may accompany her. There is only one shopping option in the vicinity. The gentleman's mother had an accident and is going for rehabilitation. After recovery, she plans to resume care for her son. She will not be living in the household during the care period. Free time by agreement.
