Caregiver Rheinstetten

Care for a 69-year-old elderly gentleman, 100 kg, 178 cm, who has prostate cancer with metastases in the bones and lymphatic system. He has vertebral fractures and severe pain. He also has urinary incontinence and uses pads. He tends to get constipated. He does not suffer from dementia, and night work is not required. The gentleman moves with a walker. Depending on his current condition, he requires assistance when walking. He can also use a wheelchair. He sometimes needs help with standing up and transferring, but he tries to remain as independent as possible. He needs partial assistance with dressing, personal hygiene, and toileting, as well as with transfers and getting up from bed or a chair. He requires assistance and supervision during showers. The bathroom has a walk-in shower. He eats independently; sufficient fluid intake and taking prescribed medication should be monitored. He is open and communicative and wishes to maintain his independence as much as possible. Therefore, he tries to continue performing many activities himself. The caregiver is also responsible for cooking, shopping, cleaning, laundry, general household help, and accompanying him to doctor's appointments. A family friend also lives in the house but does not require care or household management. A stairlift will be installed in the house. There are currently two people living in the household, with one person requiring caregiving services. The other person in the household is not related to the client and will move out at the end of September. The caregiver must be an active driver and should be able to safely operate larger vehicles, as a VW Bus is available.
