Caregiver Altenberge

Care for an 83-year-old gentleman, 178 cm, 95 kg. He has multiple sclerosis, his right leg is affected, and there is a risk of falls. He has an invalid wheelchair available for longer distances. He has early-stage dementia and is fully incontinent, wearing diaper briefs. He gets up at 8:00 AM. Morning hygiene, breakfast, medication administration, fluid intake, changing incontinence products, assistance with dressing, and accompanying to the toilet are performed. The gentleman sometimes needs help transferring to the invalid wheelchair. The gentleman is cooperative (stand-assist). At night, assistance to the toilet is needed once, administering a urinal bottle, and possibly changing incontinence products. Preparation of fresh meals, laundry care (washing, ironing), cleaning, shopping (on foot or by bicycle 1 km), and walks. His son lives upstairs in the house, and his daughter lives nearby. There is a dog in the house that needs to be fed and walked twice a day. A bicycle and an automatic transmission car are available.
