Care for a 71-year-old elderly lady, 37 kg, 150 cm, who suffers from the consequences of a stroke, general senile weakness, osteoporosis, and rheumatism. She has suffered from rheumatism for many years. After a recent stroke, she is dependent on a wheelchair. She cooperates during transfers; she does not need to be lifted completely. In the past, she suffered multiple vertebral fractures due to osteoporosis. Mentally, she is fully oriented. She undergoes physiotherapy twice a week. She needs help with personal hygiene, dressing, toileting, and changing incontinence aids. She uses incontinence pants. The caregiver also helps her with general daily activities. The scope of work also includes meal preparation, cooking, laundry, cleaning, and household maintenance. Shops are accessible on foot in about 15 minutes. The husband handles larger grocery shopping. Night duty is required; the lady needs to be repositioned every two hours due to severe pain. The husband assists with night care but needs to be relieved as much as possible, even though he is fully mobile and does not require care. A stair lift is available in the household, from the basement to the upper floor. Free time by agreement.
