He suffers from dementia/Alzheimer's, sometimes becomes significantly confused, and has impaired short-term memory. His eyesight is severely deteriorated due to macular degeneration (approximately 5% visual capacity), and he is deaf in one ear. He suffers from urinary incontinence, uses protective pads, but manages the toilet independently. He is oriented in time, space, and to people. His 86-year-old wife, 75 kg, 160 cm, moves with the help of a walker. She suffers from cardiac arrhythmia (atrial fibrillation) and has a history of bowel disease. She uses incontinence aids as frequent stools may occur, but goes to the toilet independently during the day. She has limited mobility and needs motivation to move and use her walker. She is fully oriented in time, space, and to people. Both seniors require partial assistance with dressing and personal hygiene. The care also includes companionship, communication, and support in daily life, such as short walks or reading. Lunch is provided via delivery; other meals need to be prepared. The scope of work includes household management such as shopping, cleaning, laundry, and general domestic chores, with shops accessible on foot. Night duty is not required for the gentleman; for the lady, it is required based on her current condition, not daily. Lifting is not necessary. Crutches, an adjustable bed, a wheelchair, and a commode chair are available.
