Care for an elderly married couple in a shared household. A 95-year-old gentleman, 70 kg, 175 cm, suffers from Parkinson's disease and mild heart failure. Following a stroke, he experiences slight speech difficulties but is mentally sound. He also has an artificial hip and occasionally suffers from panic attacks. He moves around the home with the aid of a walker and requires escort during ambulation. He needs partial assistance with dressing and personal hygiene, especially during showering. He manages meals and toileting independently. An 86-year-old lady, 49 kg, 169 cm, suffers from heart failure and takes blood-thinning medication (Marcumar). She recently had a fall, fracturing her elbow and sustaining a hematoma on her hip. Due to the injury, she requires assistance primarily with personal hygiene and certain daily activities. She moves independently, currently with the aid of a single crutch. She needs partial help with dressing and hygiene, managing meals and toileting on her own. The caregiver's duties include household management such as cooking, cleaning, laundry care, and general housekeeping. Groceries can be procured by the son as needed or ordered. The couple enjoys receiving visitors, so maintaining a pleasant home environment is important. Nighttime care and heavy lifting are not required. The caregiver will have their own living quarters with a small kitchen and bathroom.
