Care for an 83-year-old lady, 65 kg, 163 cm, who has a hip fracture, has a hip prosthesis, polyneuropathy, and glaucoma. She may occasionally have impaired temporal and spatial orientation. She has mild urinary incontinence and uses pads. She needs eye drops twice a day. Her son prepares her medications. The lady moves around the house with a walker. She also has a walking stick and a bath lift. She may need slight assistance with a hand-up when getting up. She mostly manages dressing, personal hygiene, and toileting independently, but needs help as needed. The caregiver prepares her clothes according to the weather and helps with changing incontinence pads. It is important to ensure sufficient food and, especially, fluid intake. The caregiver also prepares meals, does shopping, cleaning, laundry, and general household chores. If needed, light gardening tasks, such as watering flowers. It is beneficial to involve the lady in daily activities, provide her with company, and go for walks with her. Her husband also lives in the household; he does not require care, only household assistance. Regular night work is not required, but assistance may be needed exceptionally. Free time by agreement.
