Care for a 94-year-old lady suffering from dementia/Alzheimer's disease, osteoporosis, and incontinence. She has very poor hearing, but suffers from increased intraocular pressure. She is currently mostly bedridden and uses a wheelchair. She sleeps a lot during the day. She requires regular repositioning and changing of position in bed. She is incontinent of both urine and stool and uses diapers. She needs assistance with personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, toileting, and other daily activities. At night, assistance may be required once, but not every night. The lady has very thin, so-called parchment-like skin. Band-aids must not be applied to any wounds; they must be treated with bandages. In the event of wounds, the outpatient nursing service should be contacted. The nursing service also provides eye drops and compression stockings. Therefore, the caregiver should also be comfortable with potential palliative care. Duties also include meal preparation, cooking, cleaning, laundry, and shopping. Shops are within walking distance. Drinks are delivered. The lady is allergic to fabric softener. The caregiver has her own bathroom with a toilet.
